Hello,

I have a problem with a report I created that uses parameters to generate the report output. When I run the report in the Crystal Reports 8.5 application I will get prompted to select the parameters (invoice range, and invoice type). When this report is published to CE (standard edition), and I select the report from eportfolio, I do not get prompted for the parameters, the report will display with the previously saved data. If I refresh the report, it also does not prompt me for the parameters. Is there a step that I am missing when I publish my report?

Regarsd,

In the CMC, check the parameters tab for the report. Select each parameter and make certain that the "prompt user for ..." box is checked. Be sure to update after your done.

That should do it.

Oh... might want to make sure the report isn't saved with data as well.

Lisa probably nailed it here.

If you're using the Publishing wizard, there's a prompt at one stage that asks whether you want to povide report details, that should allow you to take care of the prompts at load time.

I don't have CE in front of me, so I can't tell you the exact stpe and prompt right now, it should be self-evident.

Hi!

Thanks Lisa, and Vampire.

I was actually saving the report with data, once I unchecked that option the users were being requested for parameters!!

Thank you very much
