Users not able to access database

I have a handful of users who, inexplicably, cannot access one of our Notes databases. The users who cannot get access receive the following error message when they attempt to open:

"Database is not fully initialized yet. (It does not contain any views.) You will have to use 'Replicate...' on the 'File,Replication' menu to initialize it."

What's interesting is that the users are not trying to access a replica; they are trying to connect to the "live" database on the server.

The users all have the proper rights assigned in the ACL.

I'd appreciate any help/advice.

Problem solved. The users' names were in the ACL with the rights they needed, but were associated with old ID files.

Good thing the new ID files had their names with the middle initials included in the address book, whereas the old ID files did not.
