Users losing printer

I have a shared HP PhotoSmart printer attached to the W2K Adv Srvr. All users are on W2K Pro machines. Users have been able to use the printer just fine for a couple of months. Now one of them can't print to it. They hit print and it looks like it goes through but it doesn't light up the printer at all. If a network admin logs on to her computer he can print just fine.

This happened before and one by one users were "kicked off". Because of this and other issues we totally formatted and reinstalled every computer 2 or 3 months ago. I don't want to do that again!

What's going on?
