Users in Nested Distribution groups NOT getting e-mails

Recently I have ran into an issue when someone sends a message to a Distribution Group that contains nested Distribution Groups - only the users explicitly defined in the parent Distribution Group gets the message. The users in the nested groups never get it. Verified group membership, and verified that the messages never reached the users in the nested groups.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!!
