My offsider had this problem on Friday afternoon:
Users reported that the Notes Server stopped responding, he rebooted the Server and errors were reported on the console as User xxxx is not able to access this Server or something similar. I got him to check for replication conflicts in the directory, but found none. Seeing all users were affected apart from Me (the Administrator) I then got him to create a new "Server Access group" and cut\paste the entries from the old Server access group to the new one. Instantly the problem was solved, but it took us over an hour to get to this point. Now I can find no reason as to the likely cause, may be a corrupt group or a low level problem with names.nsf - Does any one have any other idea's as I need something to write up for management and maybe stop it happening again.
Server event logs and Compaq Insight manager also showed nothing.
We have a Notes v5.08 Server on Compaq hardware which has been running fine for years with no recent changes being made.
Any thought much apprecaited.
