We're running Win2k Server with Win 2000 clients. For some unknown reason, during a recent reinstallation, clipart for all users except the administrator is unavailable.

I suspect this is a problem of access permissions. Publisher was run from an admin installation from a share called the following:

\\elmstead\image$\general\publisher

Can anyone see any reason for this hiccup?

I'm thinking it might not have been an admin install but I'll check that again.

Any suggestions gratefully received

Most likely your clipart files are being left on the server. So, when a non-admin user tries to access them they are being refused access. You can fix this by re-running Publisher set-up and choosing add or remove features. Click on Publisher and choose run all from my computer. Thi will install all the clipart files to your hard drive and all users should have access to them then.

Publisher 98 doesn't offer the option of run from my computer.

Any other ideas?

Robert

The only other suggestion I can make is go to the registry entry listed in the following link.

You can go to the directory that is currently listed there and either give everyone rights to that directory. You can also copy that directory to your hard drive and change the registry key value so that it matches the drive that you copied it to.
