I've just set up a network (first ever) everything is working as it should, except I cannot get the read only tick off my shared folders. It does seem to do it, but as soon as I go back into properties its back. Its greyed out, but still there. Any ideas?

right click on the drive with the share and go into sharing. Click the security tab and uncheck "enable propogation of inheritable permissions"
