Merlin Magix, R2, One of my customers is having problems w/ users bypassing their forced auth codes. They are picking up the phone, accessing a SA button and dialing 9#9 and then the number. The calls are going thru. I am not sure why this is happening. I considered putting in a disallow code of 9#9, but you cannot insert the # sign.

Does anyone have any idea of why they are able to get around the auth code? Thanks

The easiest thing to do would be to upgrade to an R3. The enhancement made was called Account code verification. You can create a list with up to 50 Account codes and the system will verify the account code entered with the list. Or...you can outward restrict every FAC extension, assign an Authorization code to an MFM extension for every FAC extension. Assign a button to every phone *80 or have them dial Feature 80 and the code before they dial out. The Auth code will appear in your SMDR Report for your call accounting. Hopefully you have enough MFM extensions for every FAC extension.
