Hi All,

I'm setting up a new NT4 Domain A on a different subnet & would like to get the same users & group settings from Domain B. That Domain B will become null & void once the new Domain A is completed. Is there a way to export these settings?

You could extract all the group names and account settings from the database and reimport them, minus all password or permissions information. Or you could try my easier solution. This solution requires the domains be on subnets that CANNOT communicate with each other:

Create a new BDC in Domain B. Move it over into the other subnet, assign it a new appropriate IP address. Promote it to a PDC. Rename the domain on your new PDC, so it's Domain A. Install WINS on the new PDC. Go to Server Manager on new PDC and remove the references to the PDC still in Domain B. Bring your non-domain controller systems over from the other domain. Assign them valid IP addresses and the new WINS server address. You probably won't have any troubles with them, but if you do, just remove them from the domain and re-add them.
