I have been asked to make users log in ti IPO via centralized active ditrectory, I know it could be possible via LDAP connection, has anyone tried to do that, does it work fine? The needing is for IP deskphones mainly but digital ones too, eventually.

Thank you

I'm not sure on the IPO side, but I know you can accomplish SSO on Avaya Aura with AADS (Device Services). Do you have a System Manager in your environment? I'm not sure how you would accomplish SSO for digital sets since they dont really have a login since they are hard coded to a physical port. Again, this is more on the Aura side, so i could be a little off base for IPO.

I have done it but I know it's very popular in Germany. One of the recent IP Office feature packs added a new service on Linux-based IP Office systems that can link to AD. It can be used to automatically create/update/delete IP Office users and extensions to match users in the AD directory. So look in the latest IP Office Web Manager manual.

I have used the LDAP interface to integrate to AD, it will add delates and modify users but form what I can see won't pass the password. Therefore, can't be used for SSO. You would also need to use Avaya Cloud Services for the SSO. https://documentation.avaya.com/bundle/IPOfficeWorkplaceInstall/page/Configure_SSO_Registration.html

Ia have not set this up before would be great if anyone can provide feedback on this.

I would love to be proved wrong on the password not being part of LDAP.
