When a user runs a report through CE(9 or 10) is it possible to display their user id on the actual report, preferably without having to make code changes but if it's the only way ...
Hi, How are you running the report?
ePortfolio,RAS, Custom Code ( asp, js, csp VB...)?
Bear in mind that unless you can 'tell' it who the user is, neither the web server ( with some exceptions) nor Crystal can 'find out'.
I do not believe you can add a field to the report that uses APS info directly.
Under Special Fields there is now
Current CE User ID
Current CE User Name
Place the Current CE User Name on the report, publish the report to Crystal Enterprise and Login/Run the report.
Let me know if this helps....

Turkbear: you've confirmed what I thought, that you cannot query APS directly and return it to the report.
Some of our users will be using URL based and some will be going through ePortfolio(or some thing like it).
As we are using url based and we are already passing username when we run the report we can pass the username to the SQL stored procedure and thus we can get it on the report as a field.
Reebo : Whilst we are currently using 9 we now have 10 so I can implement your suggestion when we migrate
