I have a IIS instance on a server that is connected to a domain, but not a BDC or a PDC. I have set up permissions on a site for a single user to access. I have allowed only Basic Authentication and NT Challenge Response, Anonymous is not allowed. Under Basic Authentication I have tried setting the Defaul Domain to be the server and also tried to set it to the domain it is in. Either way I still get IE asking for a domain when I log on to the website. Netscape does not do this.<br>

What am I forgetting?

If possible, remove the microsoft client from the station trying to login. If the remote station has the MS client on it and you have NT Challange/Response setup, it will ask for a domain.

Do you need the challenge/response? Without that, you will not get prompted.
