Hi

Have looked at previous threads relating to this subject and are a couple of years old. Just wondered if any new features have been implemented since which allows you to hard code the username and password into the report. I am running Oracle 9 and Crystal 9 and am not integrating with an application.

Thanks in advance.

No such feature in Crystal but there are 3rd-party tools (see list at: that can help.

My DataLink Viewer provides an "integrated authentication" functionality. When enabled, the user can turn on a "Remember Me" checkbox in the login dialog and from that point on, the user id & password are remembered (stored encrypted) but only when the same Windows User on the same Windows Machine is running the report. This provides a secure solution for viewing reports without requiring the user to authenticate again and again.

Visual CUT & DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Many thanks Ido, I'll have a look.
