Could be that the DFS service is stopped on that DC. Check services.msc, Distributed File System service. Should be started and set to auto. Upvote 0 Downvote

Mar 15, 2005 Thread starter #3 DWShetler MIS Feb 4, 2002 82 US It's weird...from the DC .. I can ping domain.com I can browse to \\domain.com\sysvol but if I do a \\domain.com\ i get this error... The filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect... and DSF is started and running... Upvote 0 Downvote
