I know similar questions have been posted but not with this specific error code. I have tried a number of the other suggested fixes with no success.
Windows 2000 server sp4
User Administrator
Machine is the PDC
Event 1000
source Userenv
user NT Authority/System
Windows cannot access the registry information at
\\xxxxx.co.uk\sysvol\xxxxx.co.uk\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\Machine\registry.pol
with (1240).
The problem means that the user Administrator cannot map any network shares on the PDC.
The problem arose after a third party piece of software was installed...by a third party.
Any help would be appreciated.
