Hi,
What does it mean whrn u say user directed backups.Thnakful for ur answer

A user directed backup is a backup that is scheduled by the user itself for e.g a user working on desktop XXXX requires a backup immediately he can start it up from the icon on his desktop.

A user backup is pretty much anything initiated fromthe client side. Typically - Oracle backup jobs will trigger off multipl user based backups.
