User with extension that does not appear in the list of extensions 2

I inherited an IP Office PBX that has several users that are defined with extensions that do not appear in the extension leaf in the manager GUI.
Are these physical devices?
How can I find them?
Can these users make/receive calls?

Probably not

You can create users for any thing such as dummy users for forwarding ,logging in.
Not associated with actual extension.

If you log in with the user then they can be used to make and receive calls if set up .

For some softphone apps like Workplace, the extension entry only exists whilst the user is logged in with that application. If you use Manager to grab a configuration at that time, you will see a virtual extension in the config file.



Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Snowman: If a user logs in with the dummy user credentials, how will the outgoing calls be routed?
