User unable to change any entry data

I have an APP that works from Win95 on up even on most XP PCs i've loaded it on. In two XP-Pro installs, after the app is installed, if the user trys to change ANY data (entry box, text, radio) the control defaults right back to the original value and will not accept any changes.
In the first case, we created a new Admin user and that user is fine.
In the second case, supposedly creation of another admin user HAS NOT corrected the problem.

I don't feel it's the USER/POWER USER thing since on my demo XP machines i will get ACCESS DENIED on this program.

ANY HELP HERE WHOULD BE HAD!

Have you tried different compatibility modes? You could also try the RunAs command. Settings may be reverting if the users registry access permissions are not correct.

The program sounds a bit old, is there not an newer similar one you can try?

Unfortunately, I wrote this app and have been updating it continuously over the years. And all has been fine.
I have verified that all the first person did was create a new Admin user.. now I have been informed it was XP Home and not Pro, they are upgrading to Pro to see if problem goes away.

Home/Pro should not make a difference for an Administrative user.

It still is a permissions issue.
