I'm not sure if this issue should be a part of the Server OS group or TCP/IP. I've done a lot of troubleshooting on this already which I will elaborate on and explain the issue at hand;
Typical office setup, 1 subnet, less than 25 clients, 1 server local. The company has an EXTERNAL terminal server at a nearby co-location. The co-lo TS has 5 users setup. Only 1 of those users gets disconnections during his sessions, this happens once or twice a day, the freeze is up to 10 minutes. During the TS freeze up, the user can get to local shares, and I believe can access the internet (will know later today). During this issue, he asked everyone else logged into the TS to see if their conenction dropped, it never does, he is always the only person with the problem. Event logs on the TS do not show any issues around the times he is having problems.
So far I updated the NIC drivers to the newest, tested the drop and cables for crossover. No new building construction to cause any new interference that I can think of.
His PC is clear, no virus, spyware, etc, ran a full scan twice now.
One curveball to add to the mix. Last time this happened to him, he has another PC in his office which was streaming audio, when his TS session locked up, so did the audio stream, however, everyone else was fine. I asked him to stop streaming, he did, but the problem still occurs so I dont think it was caused by the stream.
The network has a ProCurve, which does not log any alerts or errors around the times of these problems.
In regards to this Remote Dekstop settings, everything is set to low, not sharing anything, not even the clipboard.
Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you!
