I am getting trace file in the udump directory so often. user is complaining that some of their updates (about 5%) do not make it. I checked the udump directory and found these trace files which are being generated every day and I am wondering what this has to do with the user. I would appreciate any help. a sample of one of the trace files (they are all the same) is below.

Dump file /ux086oracle/local/TDIRT/udump/ora_49080_tdirt.trc

These files look like the result of doing an "alter database backup controlfile to trace;" command. Your dba must be doing this as part of your database backup strategy. I don't think they have anything to do with the problems your users are having.
