Hi,
I need to find the files (please not through GUI) where I can find system regional settings.
I found something under /etc/sysconfig but not all.

I need to find exactly:
- date and time
- regional settings
- number separator (, or .)
- default currency symbol ($ or €)
- keyboard used
- character set (iso or unicode or....)

Can I then define new settings for a specific user?

Thanks in advance,

Hi,
do you think that changing LANG variable for the specific user is enough?
In what file I can find the list of all the regional settings I can use?

Thanks again.

Some linux distros have a text mode setup program. Try 'setup' from the shell and see if you have any luck. If not we will need to compile a list of all the commands or files you will need to edit.
