User Sync with LDAP

On Server Edition Select does anyone have their customers using the user sync with LDAP? My customer wants their AD/LDAP environment to create, update, delete users and I see this feature is available with IPOSE-Select. Curious what your or customers experience is with this feature, how well it works, caveats, etc...

What I found in the manual;

It is available for simple Server Edition as well. No need for Select anymore.

My experience is not good. It never worked smooth for me. 11.0FP should have made something better following the release notes. But I didn't test anymore.

Most important thing would be that you could define some pattern to extract the extension number from the (usually) E.164 telephone number field out of Active Directory.
