hi there,
Im looking to use USMT from microsoft to copy user profiles before they get their new XP pc. does any of you have experience in this? Accoriding to the documentation it seemes that the user copying the settings back on the PC (loadstate) must be local admin but it cannot be the user himself (unless using unsupportet /q switch) so how can I controle what profile to be copied ? say I have 20 users and they run SCANSTATE and settings are copied to \\server\settings then they all get new PC with XP and I make a logon script that runs when PC starts to run LOADSTATE as admin, but which of the 20 users settings should it get ? I just need the one for the user using this PC.

did I misunderstand everything ?

hope I explained my question so you can understand.

Any help appreciated

Lars
