Is there anyway to give users the same power as root? If not maybe I need to adjust a security setting. But anytime I try to access a system setting with a user I am required to enter my root password. I have some users that I want to be more powerful than others.

I'm using an out of the box, RH9 install with all options under personal settings.

I'm very new to the Linux world and appreciate any help/direction you can give me.

if you'd like to use root priveledges as a remedial user, you can always use 'su' (super user) to switch to the root account for a few minutes, or however long you'd like. This is what many people do, because we all know that using root normally is bad practice, right? ;)
