user programable speeddial buttons

Hi, we are moving from a Nortel/Avaya CS1000 to IPO Ver. 8. I have about 15 users that will be getting 9640's with button modules. ( they currently use Nortel m3904's with button modules) we have not been able to figure out how to set up the user programmable autodial buttons like we can do on the CS1000. These guys are on the phone all day and change the buttons pretty frequently. sometimes daily !

This would be a MAJOR headache if we cant do this

on your phone press "features" then "phone user" then "self administrator" you will be prompted for a password and then you will have the ability to change your programmable buttons. Use "Abbreviated Dial" for your everyday speed dial and "user BLF" for internal users so that you can see when they're on the phone.

They are energy commodities traders , deals and contacts change with the wind.
Sometimes they have a phone in each ear.

That does not mean that user buttons shoudl change?
I guess you need to show them One-X Portal where they can program there own tabs with users.
Much quicker and nicer.

How much easier could it be to push a button ?
they program them by holding down the button for 3 sec, type in a new number and done then the push that button 10 times a day to make the deal or get to brokers. Oh and all 15 of them have 25 button module's on their phones. Now they may change EVERY button every day but they change quite a few daily.
It's they way they do business it's all about speed. they are not tech guys, they don't care if its pretty just easy. when it's a million dollar deal on the table and your bidding against others all across the globe.

ipolmans where do I find the password to change them buttons.

Can they use onex to program the buttons ?

I'm not sure about the onex for changing buttons but you'll need to contact the installer to find out what he/she set the "self administrator" password to.
