We just added a 2nd Citrix servers on the same subnet. I noticed that the 2nd server is creating its own "wtsrv\profiles\username" entry. Now I have the same user with profiles on both servers. How can I (1) make sure only one profile is stored regardless of the number of Citrix servers and (2) How can I move the profiles off Citrix to another server. I tried to specify the server name within TS User manager for domains but this didnt work. Any thought would help....

I hope I'm not covering old ground for you, but just a quick recap on setting up roaming profiles:

1. Set up a share on a File server (maybe call it Profiles).

2. In UMD, under Profile, enter \\[FileServer]\[ProfileShare]\%username%

3. The profile should be created, if the user has sufficent rights to that share.

4. When the user logs in, a copy is cached locally under %systemroot%\profiles on EACH T/S that the user logs into.

If this is the behaviour you are referring to, then the only ways to make sure that a user logs only onto a particular server are:

1) Have the users log on via a desktop (not a wonderful solution, and neutralises the point of load-balancing).

2) Publish apps so that they are not load-balanced, but only available on one server.

...I hope I have read your question correctly!
