Hi All.
Here's a strange one for all you pro's out there.
I work in a school and we have about 50 user profiles and two groups namely staff and pupil.
Certain pupil profiles are working fine, others however are not behaving. It seems that if a user does a lot of work and saves it, when they log off they get the unable to save changes etc message etc, which of course is causing loads of problemes because (1) they ignore it and (2) if they then log onto another machine the profile they recieve is not up to date because previous work was not propergated to the server. This seem's to be because they have tried to add lots of files etc to there profile, especially the photographers in the school.
We don't have disk quotas set up so it's not that there exceeding their limit, although I do need to check this for definate, but I'm very sure that we scrapped that idea, but I do want to do this again when things are sorted out.
I know that this happens to only accounts that are abused or seemingly over loaded with rubish or what ever, as the staff are not so active on the computers, their accounts seem to be working fine.
Any thoughts on this please, because during half term shortly, I will again need to go to each client PC and backup every CACHED roaming user profile of the account's that have not been working for a while.
This is becomming a real pain in the arse so much so I am about to set the policy to NOT CACHE roaming user profiles, but I'm afraid that this will just mean that they will be unable to log on at all.
HEEELLLPPPPP.
Cheers.
