I have a user called john and I have given access to database 'a' and 'b'.

He has problems in accessing the database 'b'.

So I go to enterprise manager and then look at his login. The database 'b' is unchecked for the user.
I have to go in and again and check the database access.

But he still continues to have permission for 'a'.

Any idea what might have triggered this ?

Whas database b restored for some reason?

No..It has been in production for long time.

But there is one nightly process on this 'b'. Data from b is sent to an external hosting place every night.

We use mixed (sql+domain) authentication.
