Hi all,

I am having trouble finding the answer to this question, and I think it is because I don't know the right words to use. So let me describe what I want to do.

I want to edit the ability of individual users to access files and programs. My end goal is this: I want a guest account, which can only access the internet and trivial MS Applications such as Word or Calculator.

I would rather have some sort of whitelist approach, so that I am sure I did not forget to disable access to something crucial coming from a blacklist approach. However, I will take any solution over no solution.

I do not even know where to begin. I tried going into some settings that looked like what I should change. Bu I was unsuccessful. So, if anyone could provide a link to a FAQ or something that would be great. If anyone could even just tell me *what* I am looking for by name, so that I could find it, that'd be great.

You can use NTFS permissions to control access to files, folders, and programs. Here are some links that will shed some light on NTFS permissions.

Thank you all.

It will likely take me a little bit to read digest all these links. So, if I have any follow up questions, it'll be a while. But, hopefully, I'll be able to get it on my own from here.

Thanks again,

Aaron
