I'm sure there is a security setting somewhere that I am probably missing, but for everyone (except the db admin) the Mapping field is disabled in User Preferences.

All users are on either Vista or XP machines (admin is on XP). MapPoint may not be installed on client machines, but that shouldn't matter as that field can be pointed to MapPoint on the Internet.

Anyone know why that field might be disabled and/or how to re-enable it?

Thanks.

What version do you have installed?

The older releases did not know about Vista and so Vista was not included in the list of valid Operating Systems for MapPoint.

I logged this as Bug 39059 and it was fixed in v10.00 SP1.

That makes a lot of sense - it IS only the Vista machines that are displaying that.

We are running GP 10.00.0774 - which doing a search means we have not installed SP1.

Thanks David - as always you've been a great help.
