User Permissions

I am looking for a way to list user permissions that is actually readable other than the stock Macola report. I have tried to build a Crystal Report to show the Group accesses (by each item and if it is turned on or off) and list the users in that group. So far, results have been unimpressive. Does anybody have any suggestions?
