I'm trying to create a personnel program that allows users to view their own information without being able to view other users' information. I am NOT a programmer but am fairly good at creating multi-table, multi-relational database apps with Clarion 5 using the included ABC templates.

At first I just wanted to be able to access the user's network id and use that as a filter. Now I'd be happy just to assign a password from within the application and have the user view/modify their data. And of course there would have to be a super-user who can view/modify all records.

If you can't show me how can you at least refer me to third party commercial template that can do this?

Thanks for any help that comes my way.

Scott,

I use SECWIN from Capesoft ( It's very flexible and powerful as well as easy to use. They have a free version and one that cost around $99 (sorry - I don't remember the differences). It can do everything you mentioned and then some.

Good Luck,
