User Password

Dear All,

I have an telnet access to a cisco switch through a username and password .. and i need to change my password.
Kindly advise how to change it ..

If you are able to have access to the global config mode then change your password with the command
username xxxx password newpass...this will change the password of your current username

This is only if you are not using cisco ACS and only a local database as your authentication.....If you are using radius or tacacs then this will only fulfill local authentication rights.
