Dear Sirs,

One of my Active Directory Users, wich has been working without problems since we installed W2003 Server, suddenly does not appear into the global address list.

We can send him mails without problems if we type his external address (user@domain.com), but we cannot see him into the global internal address list.

I have checked his Active Directory Users Properties. The "don't show this address in the global list" option is unchecked, and the "email addresses" tab does not appear.

What could be happening? Any idea?

Thank you for your help.
Best regards,

Iñaki

Sounds like the user object is corrupt since you get some email properties but not others.

You could first try an offline defrag and ISINTEG of the Exchange database to see if that correctls the problem. Otherwise I would export their email, then remove their mailbox and recreate the mailbox.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

Thank you, Mark. I was thinking on recreating the mailbox, but I wondered if there was any other solution.

Thank you for your help.

Let me know how you make out.

I don't think it should be necessary to delete the user object which is good because they would then loose file ownerships which gets messy.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
