I just created a user without a mailbox (going to reconnect and old mailbox) and they are not appearing in the global address book. I have done the same thing for every other user and works fine.

Is there anywhere I can go and manually add them in?

Thanks

I connected the mailbox when i setup the user. thought it would appear straight away. So your saying wait until tommorow?

Why is that? When the others appeared straight away

By default your users are using the OAB (Offline Address Book) and not the GAL because by default your users are in Cached mode.

As a test you can turn off cached mode on a system and you should see the missing user.

To rectify this situation, force a rebuild of the OAB. Right click the OAB in Exchange System Manager, choose Rebuild. Wait a few hours (it is really slow). At a client you can then force a download of the address book. I believe it is Tools, Send/Receive, Download Address Book.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
