Hello.

My Users would like to be able to use both Tab and Enter while maneuvering from one DTC text box to another. The tab works fine; however, when they hit Enter, they receive the following error:

Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80040E14)
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Line 1: Incorrect syntax near '='.
/WeeklyApps/_ScriptLibrary/Recordset.ASP, line 466

Any ideas are appreciated?

Thanks,
Rene

The enter key causes a 'click' on the first IMAGE button on the form, or to the field with the focus. It often does nothing!

You would need to use JavaScript to trap the enter key press - but as Netscape and IE event models are different, this can be tricky.

I found that having an invisible image button as the first item on the form will trap most Enter key presses. You can then use client-side 'onclick' event process to set the focus (or whatever). Make sure it prevents the form from being submitted!

Keep us posted on progress! (Content Management)
