HI ALL EXPERTS:
WE HAVE G450 WITH AVAYA SERVER S8300. THE CM IS 6.0.1 I CONFIGURED MY LAPTOP ON IP 192.11.13.5 SUB-NET MASK 255.255.255.252
I USED CROSSOVER CABLE AND ENTERED USERNAME ROOT PASSWORD ggdaseuaimhrke VIA SERVICE PORT.I CREATED NEW USERNAME AND PASSWORD.
IT IS OK TO ENTER THE SYSTEM USING PUTTY (TUTTY).BUT WHEN I WANT TO ACCESS CM THROUGH AVAYA SITE ADMINISTRATION. IT GIVES THE MESSAGE THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD EXISTS BUT DENIED IN ADMIN.
I CREATED USERNAME.....NEW USER PASSWORD ASAD9898 ACCESS TYPE ADMIN.
MY QUESTION IS HOW I TO CREATE A USER WITH PROFILE 18 SO THAT I TO ACCESS THE CM. BECAUSE WHEN CHECKED THE USER I CREATED HAVE LOCAL ACCESS ONLY NOT SERVICES.
ANY HELP MAY BE APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE

You have a basic misunderstanding. You appear to have successfully reset the root password for the G450 gateway. This is not related in anyway to the Avaya CM passwords that are used to access the core system using ASA (or SSH on port 22 or port 5022)

You need access to the ACM webscreen (or CLI) in order to create a new user account. Obviously, this is not possible without some kind of existing credentials, which I'm assuming you don't have. I suggest that you contact your Avaya Business Partner for assistance - they should have the required credentials. Avaya will also be able to help, but will want payment. Avayatier3 here may also be able to help.
