How can a user modify a report included in my program? Using MODI REPORT, the user can modify the report but the changes are not reflected in the .EXE file. Preview gives the report compiled by me.
The problem occurs when the user buys different types of invoices (same content, but different layout-one has the invoice number at 7 cm left,5 cm down, one 8 cm left, 3 cm down, etc.)

The idea is not to compile the report in the exe (Right-mouse on the report in the project manager and select exclude), but to distribute it seperately. Mike Gagnon

If you find using MODI REPO is too problematical for your users, take look at faq184-157.

Whilst the FAQ is way overdue for a rewrite, the principles remain the same.

The user interacts with a single page report through a toolbar class and/or user friendly properties sheet, the results being shown in a form which is a scalable WYSIWYG preview of the report.

Once the user has finished the modifications, the report can be saved to a new or existing name and run.
