User Manager and Global Group Error.

I am running nt4.0 and I have a user when her name is pulled up in user manager, she has 3 grops listed, Domain users, her department security and a internet users global group. When i try to take her out of that group I get an error message "the following error occurred changing the properties of the user"Username" The user does not belong to this group. If I go to the global group, she is not listed in the members of that group. When I try to add her, I get a message "the following error occurred changing the properties of the global grop internet users The user already belongs to this group. I can not delete the user either. I get a message "the following error occurred when deleting the user "username" The user does not belong to this group.

Any help would be great.
