We are having a strange problem. One of our internal users used her Entourage/Exchange to send a 160mb message to another internal user, who's using Outlook/Exchange. That user recieved the message 12 times. We went into Entourage and saw the message in the Outbox. We erased the message, and rebuilt the local database. Recipient is still receiving the message. On our Exchange 2003 std, sp2, we have message tracking enabled. When we track this message, it correctly shows that it was delivered it than 10 times. (There is only one message to that sender, with many events, for each time if was delivered).
