Hi there, my domain controller is 2003, I have a user in one of my branches that is randomly getting locked out.
It seems to be when she opens up IE it asks for her username/password for our domain.
I have reset her password through AD, made her reset it, restarted in between all of that, scanned for virus' and spyware, I have disabled her account then enabled it, I have given the computer a stern talking to, I poked it with a stick, and gave it my evil eye.
No go.
She keeps getting the username/password screen every time she opens IE or an email with pictures that tries to get to the internet to download them.

Any ideas at all?
Thanks
-Andrew

sounds like she has the IE proxy settings turned on or configured wrong.

The proxy settings are for the correct server and the right port.
The user doesn't actually get locked out until they either hit cancel or enter their correct domain password 4 times like our GPO states.

I have no idea either. Back to searching the KBs.

I'm having the same issue.

Are you using Microsoft ISA Server 2000 as the proxy? I have a sinking suspicion that there is a problem between AD 2003 and ISA Server 2000.

Can anyone deny or confirm?

Thanks
Frank

That would definitely make sense.
I recently installed the ISA Client on their computer and haven't heard anything from them since.
Maybe that was a fix somehow, I dont really know.
