The problem is that this attached word doc is one of his (from his hard drive) and he claims that he never sent it to the individual who sent him the email on which it was attached. I can find no documentation of this ever happening to anyone on Novell's site. Any Ideas?

I imagine it's a long shot, but could it have anything to do with the recently-discovered Word vulnerability? I learned about it at It's described under "1. MICROSOFT'S CONUNDRUM WITH WORD 97 SPYWARE".
Of course, it might also be as simple as someone having copied the file from his PC to a floppy...
