I am currently new to this type of backup software and currently find the whole set up we have in quite a mess. We use the software on both a Windows NT4 Server platform and also on a Irix 6.5 platform.

Do you know of anywhere that i can get a good user guide to help me through the basics of this software and try and get it working properly and effciently?

Thanks in advance!!

Lindsey

Documentation is available, but it is not written for the beginner. In oorder to effectively use it, you need to have at least some knowledge of the software.

I recommend using it for a few weeks, then talking your boss into paying for the training classes. It is well worth the time and money. As for optimizing backups, you can do it after learning a bit more, but if your need is more urgent, hire someone to come in and assist with it.

I have expereince in using Backup Exec 7-8.5 software but unfortunatly not much knowledge of this Backup Software.

Unfortuantly how things are we are not able to afford any training or to get anyone in so it more or less up to us to self learn.

Where can i find any documentation about this software....doesn't have to be beginner!

Thanks

Lindsey
