was this an in-house training course or an official cognos training course, as Cognos training courses are usually supply very good handouts.
There aren't really any 3rd party user guides available, the best source of information is the documentation that comes with the Impromptu Installation.

Gary is right, but once you've 'started to walk' with Impromptu, this forum is a fantastic source of help. It's far better than the Cognos site and as far as I can see, the world experts on Cognos products log on here on a regular basis to provide wonderful advice. As Gary replied to this I won't spare his blushes by including him in that group.
