Thanks Rob, I thought this info could help me figure out my problem, but I'm still stuck. Have you ever run into the following....
I schedule an event for a certain group of users. When I close the record then reopen to edit the pending record, the user (in the upper right corner of the window) is disabled. I can edit the other fields, just not the user.
I have done rebuilds, etc. I'm trying this with Master rights. It doesn't happen with all users, just certain ones. They are all the same (job title) type of users.
I though they may have belonged to a user group at one time maybe recreating the group would reveal some answers(...that was the reason for the last post). Ive been looking in LOOKUP and CAL but can't find a reason.
Have you ever seen this? Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
Yes, I rebuilt. I just found out what caused this.
I looked into the lookup table as you suggested. I found some entries that had user name in the entry field that the error was happening with. I removed these records from the file and the problem stopped. That was yesterday. Today I found out a user had access to the "Resource" feature.(File | Configure Goldmine | Resources) This user added other user names and assigned themself as custodian.
So as far as I can tell, when scheduling a call, Goldmine checks the Lookup table. If it finds a resource equal to the user name, it disables the name to all users but the assigned custodian.
Thanks for your help with this. I hope this info is useful to someone. At the least, they do not spend as much time as I had to.
