is there other way to run the awk program with less keys. I trying to make it easier for end user. ex: awk -f ftp.awk test. I know I can create a batch file and run the awk from the batch file. I am looking for oter way.

Thanks

How many keystrokes is too many?

I know I can create a batch file and run the awk from the batch file. I am looking for oter way.
That would make the command:
Code:
script test
or, if the input file is always the same,
Code:
script

How much easier does it need to be?

If the users can't type at all, you could always make a "shortcut" from their desktop GUI to run the program.
