There are 3 options available within the ePortfolio 'Organize Folders' window, depending on the user's permissions:[ol][li]'Move to'[ul][li]Allows the User to fully move the selected report or folder to another location. As this may adversely affect other Enterprise Users, only Crystal Enterprise Administrators or Developers should have this ability.[/li][/ul][/li][li]'Copy to'[ul][li]Allows the User to copy the selected report or folder to another location. This tends to create maintenance problems, since you now have multiple objects to maintain (version control becomes an issue). Only Crystal Enterprise Administrators and Developers should have this ability[/li][/ul][/li][li]'Shortcut'[ul]Creates a link to a report or folder in another location (such as the User's personal folder). This is the safest option because the end user is only initiating the report/instance from another location. Version Control and maintenance aren't a factor. One item to note is that all instances of the object will be shared by all users that have access to that object. Instance management should be configured to allow enough instances to satisfy all users.[/li][/ul][/li][/ol]As an administrator, you can move the report object to the User's folder within the CMC, but most other users will be prevented from using that report unless they've been granted privileges to that User's folder.
Outside of the 'Organize Folders' window in CE, you could have your users Set Destination to unmanaged disk (where the destination is a shared folder on their PC). This way, the user always has access to his/her historical instances.
