I was wonddering if there was a way to make a users desktop folders and files portable, so the user can access them from different workstations just by logging in.

Ie the desktop would match what was on the original workstation.

Thanks

Roaming profiles is the solution. Check the MS site for the server/OS your using on how to set it up.

*** Fix what's broken, whether it's a machine or a process. People don't need to be burdened by problems that could be corrected.

You don't necessarily have to do roaming profiles, if it's just the files you want to access from anywhere.

I would go with redirects. Redirects are basically pointers to a central share location for your users "my documents", desktop, and application data. This does not require a logon/logoff synchronization like roaming profiles do.

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!
