User Error 1

Hello,

I have a small Windows2KPro workgroup of 4 PC's in a manufacturing office. A new user logged in to one of them this morning with the username 'max'. When I went over later and logged in as administrator to give him rights from Users & Passwords in Control Panel, I did not see him listed there.
I then tried to add him as a new user and give him rights, and I and got an error stating that user could not be created because he already exists. Strange that I dont see him in the user list. Does anyone have any ideas?

More than likely the user wasnt created in that way. Right click my computer - Manage - Users and Groups. Under users you shouldsee the user. If you wish to assign him local admin rights go to the groups, find administrators and double click it. Add him into this group from there.
