We currently use a System DSN to point an application to a SQL DB.

It's a 'kiosk' application, which launched automatically after a windows autologon.

What I'd like to do is have another login, that uses a different SQL DB in case we need to use the DR server for the database.

I thought about creating a login with a 'User DSN' but not 100% how this works. If a user DSN is present will it override the system DSN? If so then that will do the trick for me. I just wondered if anyone could confirm if that's the case or not ?

Thanks :)

hi,

Not completely sure, but I use ALL File DSN ODBC drivers and often am connected to more than on DB.
